For this challenge the designers get to design the actual fabric. I chose to do a hand-painted out-sized nature graphic.The dress is made of a light crepe. For the color I reversed the fabric to use the satiny side for contrast. I also added a small white spike hat. It echoes the asymmetry of the dress and abstractly resembles a bird nest. Update: The added bit to this challenge was to make the design meaningful to your life. Amazingly that is exactly what my design is. The dress is done in my mother's favorite color and she always kept yellow canaries in a cage in the dining room. They sang in the sunlight coming from the western windows. This piece was to honor my mother. I lost her when I was a teenager.
