Design fashion for autumn 2010. Themes: menswear for women, retro 50s, military, minimalist and fabric choices: lace, (Oops forgot ...I had a call right then.)Well, I ended up doing Winter 2010, inspired by the late 50s-early 60s skiwear (for those who prefer a hot toddy rather than an actual trip down the slopes.)
The ribbing on the purple skinny pants is vertical to accentuate her height. Everyone wants a long-leg look. The ribbing on the twisted cowl sweater runs horizontal, for contrast. I paired the knits with a champagne-colored cape. Cozy. For color punch and a retro atomic age punch I did silver boots.
P.S. The color in this shot (the hatless one) is too pale. The purple is far more color-saturated than shown here. So I did a new shot...and added a jaunty chapeau, rocket-style, to complete the atomic motif. But the purple has still washed out :(
